THROWING IN THE TOWEL

Today I have made either the best decision of my career or the worst. I quit the agency, my agent and I'm officially unemployed for the 1st time in 6 years. It happened about 30 minutes ago and I'm already having doubts whether or not I did the right thing. I can still model abroad, since it works different there than Japan and I have a Diesel contract but in theory I still have to work for the agency until January, so I just broke contract and I might have to pay a massive fine. ;_; Now, tomorrow I need to call my lawyer and my accountant and see what's going to happen.

SIIIIIIIIIIGH! (‾᷄⌂‾᷅) It had to be done though. They booked me for a few jobs in the beginning of next month, during training camp and the tournament. If I miss the tournament, Johoga might cut my scholarship, and I don't want to miss it to begin with, and if don't go to the job the agency would drop me anyway and my name would be ruined. Besides they've been complaining I've been too indiscreet about my private life when a picture of me being too handsy with a guy during the halloween party showed up. I'm fed up with this already

My therapist said I should weigh my priorities because I simply can't do everything I want all the time without ending up overwhelmed. Basketball is more important, so... that's that.

Good. Those designer clothes will be worth more because you wore them. Autographed prints and such would add up as well. You have more tools at your disposal than you think.

I do, you are right. They don't own my image from now on, even if they do for everything I've done in the past.

My advice, dear, keep an active public instagram. Throw your fans a bone once in awhile.

And of course, play your stocks right, but I'm sure your accountant can work out that much.

Let's see... Managing my life. I'm really bad at that and also getting me gigs. Like an international agent and not the Japanese type who owned my life. It's a lot of work, I wouldn't recommend XD

I can certainly assist in getting your life in order and provide a few ideas, but you may be better off with the services of a professional. I don't have the kind of industry contacts the job would require.

Let's meet and write a few e-mails to small, international agencies, hmm? Once we have defined clearly what kind of representation you would like.

I'd like to do that, but I think I will hold until the end of the tournaments. I should prioritise.

Sorry dear, if only I had the time and resources. I ended up dropping tennis because I didn't have time for a wife, a mistress, and a sweetheart. We're both busy men - perhaps a weekly meeting once the tournament finishes until we find the right fit.
